Ian J. Strachan

When he’s not talking about himself in the third person, Ian is often in the field, usually in a combination of roles that include expedition leader, naturalist, photographer, kayak guide, drone pilot, skipper and divemaster.

He has been very fortunate to be part of numerous expeditions and scientific projects all over the globe allowing him to expand his knowledge and document the natural world. From the “brisk” polar regions to the diverse tropics, or even far out of sight of land in the open ocean, Ian remains an perpetually entranced by our planet.
